Ouch.

I was just preparing my hot water bottle to take to bed with me, since I do not have any heating device in my bedroom and it's fuckin' cold in there and while filling that stupid flabby thing I spilled some boiling water on my right big toe. That hurt. I actually burned my toe. Had to laugh at myself a little while dancing around on one foot grimmacing in bloody pain... Absurdities never cease to happen.
I worked with my friend Felix today. Whenever I meet him I come home with a ton of good ideas. He kind of inspires me. He's going to be a filmmaker, and we make up storylines together all the time. After our last meeting I came up with a story where a father and a son-in-law put together a bike as a christmaspresent in a basement and the father knows his daughter wants to divorce the dude and the guy doesn't know and is all hopeful everything will be better after they all spent the holidays together and the father likes his son in law and feels sorry for the poor fool and it all turns out a real funny-sad desaster. The morale to that story is something along the lines of well meant often is the opposite of well. Done.
Felix approach to the basement/christmas/dramatic incident setting was way funnier: he pictured this middle aged couple. The guy stuffed the dead family dog for the woman as a surprise and he takes her down to the basement blindfolded to show her. While he puts some finishing touches to his arrangemets he askes her what she thinks it could be. He hints that it was something she adored and she says the only thing she ever adored was the pet who luckily now lay in peace and it kind ofbecomes obvipus that she wouldn't find it nice at all to have the poor creature as a stuffed animal in their living room. What's he to do now?? Well. I'll stop here. It'll be a film, it'll be hilarious. Don't steal our ideas please.
But it's not only stories, I came up with ideas for some new paperthings as well. Can't wait to go get material tomorrow and give it a try. And (this has been a very creative sunday work shift...) I am thinking about a comic. Again. I think I should give it another try. Rather a graphic novel kind of thing. A graphic short story. Does that make it a comic again? I don't really know the differences. But that could be nice. Don't know if it will be any good but it could be fun to do..
