Pictures in parks...

After I whined about how lame my life is lately earlier today, I decided to actually get my ass up and myself out of the house tonight. So I went to the opening of a photo exhibit. A friend of mine had her pictures shown, she took part in this calendar-project to promote the many parks of our beautiful hometown. The idea was to picture scenes from well known fairytales, and she asked her friends to be her models. I ended up being SnowWhite. Don't ask. My hair is dark, I'm usually pale as hell. Go figure... Now my barely disguised self hangs between Little Red Ridinghood, a witch and some fairies right in the entrancehall of the local Stadthaus - I really don't know the correct english term. It's where you get your passport and stuff. I felt a bit emberassed standing there. I'm not really shy about having my picture taken. But this whole thing felt akward. Well, at least I'm wearing the prettiest dress ever in that picture. It's blue with huge white dots. Still I do not look like the Disney figure - I look more ike the mean little sister. My Mom says I generally don't smile enough. Maybe she's right there. I'm working at the counter of a movie theatre and decided a long time ago not to sell my soul to please the customers. This is not America, my boss is an old hippie person and we just don't have to smile at every dickhead. I won't. And I definatley won't laugh at your bad jokes that aren't funny. That's not unfriendly or rude, it's just a good sense of humour.
My friend Yvonne put a flower into my hair today. I look nice now. Free beer and cocktails at the opening. I'm fairly drunk and it makes me happy.
