My dear friend A. met a nice guy this weekend while out partying. That's kind of a big deal, because she is very pcky with the men she likes AND she's really desperate to find the right guy soon in order to start a family. Sounds bad, I kow. But these are the facts, actually. Now, the thing with this nice guy is - he does live in LA. Yup, Los Angeles, California, state that opposed Prop 8. The Us State with nine hours of time difference and an 10+ hours flight to even get there from here. It's kind of typical. It seems as if she had some sort of radar that singles-out the hopeless cases and somehow makes them the most interesting - to her. She'll never fall for a nice, single, straight guy from her neighborhood. Too easy. To me it seems like she really doesn't actually want to commit herself to anybody. She believes she does - but she doesn't. She is not the adventurous type, she won't even have a long distance relationship over 200miles or the like. She won't have an ocean between them, won't even try that kind of nonsense. She might be right. It's only that she is not really happy now. She's looking, actually she might be looking for some sense, some reason, something that makes it all worth while in her life. That's quite serious. The pressure is rising.
Well. Now she can add a night-long fling with a La based german working in the movie industry (what else!!). A lot mor impressive than my own twenty-something college guys who never took a plane in their life kind, the ones that are on my "list" so far. Time to change the main target...
