Simple things you can do to keep other people from hating you at the movies.
- Do not talk once the movie started. Movies start with the first picture, NOT with the first spoken word. If you haven't seen your friend in 25 yrs you might wanna go some place where they don't screen a film. ( Or play a show for all that matter.) Pick a bar. Have a beer. Talk. THERE.
- Choose a "silent" snack. Choclate might work, so does popcorn. Chips won't! Unwrapping
beforehand may be helpful.
- Do not talk. Whispering is talking too.
- Do not use your phone. At all.
- Do not talk.
- Try not to kick the person in front of you in the back.
- Choose a drink that does not make you wanna pee every two and a half seconds.
- Do not jump up as soon as the endtitel come up. Not, maybe, unless you are sitting in the very back row AND you are a master-sneaker sneaking out quietly. But better stay and show some respect and interest in the people who worked on your entertainment.
- Sending messages, too, is using your phone. Just don't. Turn it off.
If you are sure that you can't obey these simple rules you might just wanna go and rent a dvd. While watching a movie at home you can do all sorts of things. I like to walk around, tidy up, do the laundry or cook. But at the movies - you are at the movies.
I just love the movies. Please don't spoil the fun.
